IMF Corporate Luncheon at RBYC and Felicitation of Cmde Rajan Vir
The customary Corporate Luncheon of IMF in Mumbai was hosted at RBYC on 27th February 2020. This is the occasion for IMF Council Members to meet the friends and sponsors of IMF and to thank them for their support. This year’s Corporate Luncheon was rather special because it was also the occasion for felicitation of Cmde Rajan Vir, Founding President of IMF and now the President Emeritus.
Director-General of Shipping Mr Amitabh Kumar (IRS) and the Chief of Staff, Western Naval Command, VAdm RK Pandit graced the occasion with their presence. Among the guests were senior executives / heads of shipping companies, ship management companies, senior personalities representing various shipping interests and council members of IMF.
Following the keynote address by Capt Sudhir Naphade, Former Nautical Advisor to the Govt of India, Mr Amitabh Kumar and VAdm Pandit jointly presented a plaque to Cmde R Vir to commemorate the event.
